Moulding Profiles

Series started during 2020 while printmaking studios had all closed, 1” wide laser-cut stamps and stencils were used to print these works. Staying home that year made the artist observe her surroundings more than usual and look differently at the decorative and architectural elements in her house. The profiles and the simple shadows they create were a source of interest, especially when taken out of context, becoming arbitrary forms that play between 2 and 3 dimensions. The mouldings are in two orientations and the connecting shadows start to complicate where light is coming from, flipping between concave and convex.
